The concept of the ‘3 Ka Dream’ encapsulates the hopes and aspirations of millions of cricket fans who dream of witnessing their team secure a third ODI World Cup victory.India’s previous triumphs in the ODI World Cup came in 1983 and 2011, and the ‘3 Ka Dream’ symbolises the desire for a third championship win in this prestigious tournament.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the video on social media platform ‘X’, formerly Twitter, with a caption:
1983 – the spark. 2011 – the glory.
2023 – the dream.
Impossible nahi yeh sapna, #3kaDream hai apna.
The inclusion of two stars on the top of the BCCI logo on the left side of the jersey symbolises India’s two ODI World Cup victories. Each star represents a World Cup win, and it’s a proud and visible reminder of the team’s successes in this prestigious cricket tournament.
Team India will begin their ICC 2023 World Cup campaign against five-time champions Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on October 8.
