CNG SUVs: Three new CNG SUVs in India under Rs 10 lakh: Maruti Suzuki Fronx and more

Owing to good ground clearance, spacious cabin, and practicality, customers prefer to buy a petrol or diesel SUV in India. Now witnessing the increasing demand for SUVs, car manufacturers are also introducing SUVs with factory-fitted CNG kits. To make you informed, we are listing three new CNG SUVs launched in the Indian market this year under Rs 10 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG
Maruti Suzuki introduced the Fronx across the country in April 2023 at a starting price of Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG is available in Sigma and Delta variants, priced at Rs 8.42 lakh and Rs 9.28 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom), respectively.

The CNG variants come equipped with a 1.2-litre NA bi-fuel petrol engine, churning out a peak power of 75 hp and a max torque of 98.5 Nm. The engine is mated with a five-speed manual transmission. Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG offers an ARAI-certified mileage of 28.51 km/kg.
Hyundai Exter CNG
Hyundai Motor India recently launched the Exter micro SUV in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Exter is also available in bi-fuel CNG option in S and SX variants, priced at Rs 8.24 lakh and Rs 8.97 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

Under the hood, the Hyundai Exter CNG is equipped with a 1.2-litre bi-fuel petrol engine, which generates a power output of 67 hp and a max torque of 95 Nm. It is paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. Hyundai claims that the Exter CNG provides an ARAI mileage of 27.1 km/kg.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG

Maruti Suzuki launched the Brezza CNG in India in March 2023. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG price starts from Rs 9.24 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.15 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

Powering the Brezza S-CNG is a 1.5-litre NA bi-fuel petrol engine, producing a max power of 85.5 hp and a peak torque of 121 Nm, mated with a five-speed manual transmission. Maruti Suzuki Brezza S-CNG delivers a claimed ARAI mileage of 25.51 km/kg.
