NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Twitter following has crossed 90 million, putting him among the Top 10 most followed people on Twitter. In comparison, American President Joe Biden has 37.7 million followers, while British PM Rishi Sunak has two million followers.
Among world leaders, though, former US President Barack Obama still has a significant lead with a Twitter following of 132 million. Obama has the second highest following on Twitter after the platform’s new owner Elon Musk, who has a following of 148.5 million. Former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, has 86.6 million followers on the microblogging site.
Modi joined the social media site in 2009 when he was Gujarat CM and his following on the platform has swelled since.
