NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday offered prayers at Parvati Kund in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh. Dressed in local traditional attire, he also played a power drum and conch shell while offering prayers at the spiritually significant Parvati Kund.
The Prime Minister then sought blessings from the almighty at the Adi Kailash peak, an abode of Lord Shiva. He is on a day-long visit to Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region during which he will also visit Jageshwar Dham and the border village of Gunji.
PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 4,200 crore in Pithoragarh. He will also address a public meeting.
