The Navy got a booster shot on Friday with the delivery of the third guided-missile stealth destroyer ‘Imphal‘ four months ahead of schedule by Mazagon Docks. The 164-metre warship, with a displacement of 7,500-tonne and a 312-member crew, is armed with BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles and surface-to-air missiles. It will also be the first major warship to have special accommodation for women officers, sailors.
