X launches two new subscription plans, price starts at Rs 244 per month

To mark the one-year anniversary of Elon Musk taking over Twitter (that’s what it was called back then), the social media platform — now known as X — has launched two new subscription plans. The first plan is Basic whereas the other one is Premium +. X already had a premium plan in place.

New plans: Pricing

X’s new Basic and Premium+ plans offer users a variety of options to choose from, depending on their needs and budget.Both plans offer access to X’s core features, but the Premium+ plan offers additional features, such as the largest reply boost, the ability to undo sent tweets, and access to some exclusive features.
The Basic plan in India will start at Rs 244 per month. If users subscribe for the annual plan, then it will cost them Rs 2,590. The Premium+ plan costs Rs 1,300 per month or users can pay Rs 13,600 in one shot for the annual subscription. Both new plans are currently available on Web.
The existing Premium plan, on the other hand, costs Rs 650 per month.

Basic plan features

For starters, you do not get the blue verification check mark with the basic plan. However, users will get a boost to their replies. Apart from that, users will get ability to edit tweet, to post longer tweets (up to 4,000 characters), to upload longer videos (up to 20 minutes), two-factor authentication, encrypted DMs, ability to hide likes and subscriptions among more. Users will continue to see ads if they subscribe to the Basic plan.

Premium+ plan features

As the name suggests, this plans goes a few steps further than the Premium plan in terms of features offered. This is an ad-free subscription plans, which means there will be no ads visible on the user’s timeline. Content creators get a host of features including access to Media Studio and analytics. Other features remain the same and users will get a verified blue check mark as well.
