PUNE: An Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) weather summary released on October 28, has revealed that maximum temperatures are significantly above normal in several areas.
Rayalaseema is experiencing appreciably above-normal maximum temperatures, with deviations ranging from 3.1°C to 5.0°C. In Karnataka, most places are witnessing above-normal temperatures, with departures between 1.6°C to 3.0°C.Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are also facing above-normal temperatures in many areas.
Similarly, many regions, including Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, and Konkan & Goa, are reporting above-normal maximum temperatures. Isolated places in several other states, including Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Odisha, Saurashtra & Kutch, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada are also experiencing higher temperatures. The rest of the country is reporting near-normal maximum temperatures.
On Saturday, the highest maximum temperature recorded was 37.0°C in Surendranagar, Saurashtra & Kutch.
