KOCHI: A major blast at a convention centre during Jehovah’s witnesses convention killed one person and injured over 20 people in Kalamassery.
The blast rocked Zamra International convention centre when more than 1000 people were present at the centre. It is reported that multiple blasts occurred making people run for their life.

Police and fire brigade teams are at the spot and the rescue operation in under way.
Those injured have been taken to Kalamassery Medical college.
Kerala health minister Veena George has directed health department director to make arrangements in hospitals to treat the injured.
Doctors and nurses who are on leave in Kalamassery Medical college have been asked to join on duty immediately.
The minister has issued a direction to send burns team to reach Kottayam medical college.
