NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old woman searching for a flat to rent was reportedly subjected to a gang-rape by two individuals in north Delhi‘s Burari area. One of the accused was a property dealer.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, involved the accused luring the woman to an unoccupied apartment where they allegedly provided her with water laced with sedatives.
The complainant had been in contact with Jitendra Chaudhary, a property dealer, while searching for a rental property. Chaudhary and his associate convinced her to visit a flat they claimed was available for rent. Once at the location, they allegedly offered the woman a glass of water containing sedatives.
After consuming the drugged water, the victim lost consciousness, and the two men reportedly took turns sexually assaulting her. A case of gangrape has been registered at the Burari police station, and an investigation is currently in progress.
