The billionaire retweeted the news article on X saying: “It would be a much better name!”
Apart from this, during a recent podcast with Joe Rogan, the Tesla CEO also offered to arm-wrestle Zuckerberg. Meta chief has reportedly declined the proposal.
Elon Musk’s plans for X
In a recent all-hands meeting with X employees, Musk shared his plans to transform the micro-blogging site into a financial platform. X CEO Linda Yaccarino also said that the company sees this becoming a “full opportunity” in 2024. Musk also wants the company to roll out these banking features by the end of next year.
The company is reportedly working on getting licenses approved across the US that will help the company offer financial services. Musk also expects his employees to get the other licenses X needs in “the next few months.”
This aligns with Musk’s plans to turn X into an “everything app”. Other super apps like WeChat in China allow users access to shopping, transportation and more in a single app. Musk wants X to offer banking services, job-searching features as well as voice and video calls in the coming days.
