Raut: BJP wants to jail the entire opposition and then hold elections: Sanjay Raut

MUMBAI: Blaming the BJP led centre over the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons to Delhi CM and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said that the BJP wants to jail the entire opposition and then hold elections.
“They had once summoned Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi too. I too was jailed. Several of Maharashtra’s leaders were jailed.Two West Bengal ministers have been nabbed by ED. Two Tamil Nadu ministers are in jail. Wherever the Opposition is strong and the INDIA leaders who are strong – their sword will be unleashed on them (Opposition). Mamata Banerjee said – arrest everyone, empty the entire country and holdelections. This is what the BJP wants – to jail the entire Opposition and hold elections,” Raut said.
On the Maratha reservation protests, Raut said, “Uddhav Thackeray has also said the same that Maratha community and its leaders are agitating. The agitation is unusual, there is arson and violence across Maharashtra. Maratha community must get reservation in Maharashtra but without altering the reservation given to the tribals or OBCs. This is the demand by everyone, including ours.”
The AAP has expressed apprehensions that Kejriwal will be arrested by the central agency. Two AAP leaders, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh have already been arrested in connection with an alleged excise policy scam. AAP leaders maintain that if Kejriwal is arrested, the Delhi government will be “run from jail.”
