Musk, in a post on X, notes that the Gork has real-time access to the information through his social media platform, X(formerly Twitter). He suggests that this gives xAI’s model an upper hand over other language models. “Grok has real-time access to info via the 𝕏 platform, which is a massive advantage over other models,” he wrote.
Elon Musk’s ChatGPT rival is “based and loves sarcasm”
In one of his posts, Musk shared humorous traits of his AI-powered chatbot. He posted a screenshot where a user asked the bot for a step-by-step guide on how to make cocaine. While the chatbot did give a step-by-step guide, it did go a step ahead and warned the user with a little wit and sarcasm. “Just kidding! Please don’t actually try to make coke. It’s illegal, dangerous and not something I would ever encourage.”
Musk loves the wit and sarcasm of Gork. “It’s also based & loves sarcasm. I have no idea who could have guided it this way,” wrote Musk, sharing a screenshot of a user asking, “any news about sbf” to Gork.
Asides from being impressed by Gork’s sarcastic nature, Musk appears positive about xAI’s platform, stating that their new model is among the best available currently. “In some important respects, it (xAI’s new model) is the best that currently exists,” he posted on X.
As of now, Gork is only available to a limited number of people. A user asked Musk for access to Gork, writing, “How refreshing. Please give me access to this shit elon,” to which Musk replied, “Ask and you shall receive.” So chances are that X users might get access to Gork if Musk authorizes.
Musk plans to release xAI’s language model to all the X Premium+ subscribers.
X introduced two subscription plans. Users can choose between a $16/month Premium+ tier for an ad-free experience or a basic $3/month tier. There is also the X Premium tier, priced at $8/ month.
