The former skipper also went on to extend his supremacy in home conditions, registering his 23rd hundred in India in 116 innings.He also has 6046 runs to his name at an astonishing average of 60.46.
The next country on the list where Kohli asserted his dominance is Bangladesh, where he compiled six centuries in a mere 18 innings, accumulating a total of 1097 runs.
Out of his total 49 centuries, King Kohli notched ten in Australia and Sri Lanka, with five coming in both the nations in 29 and 26 innings respectively.
The year in which Kohli scored most runs and hundreds in ODIs
Kohli recently completed 1000 runs in the current year – a record eighth time in his career – that saw him surpass Tendulkar’s record of scoring 1000 runs in a calendar year on seven occasions.
The year 2017 turned out to be the biggest for Kohli in terms of scoring runs and hundreds as he plundered 1460 runs along with smashing six centuries in 26 innings.
Kohli replicated his success in 2018 by notching up six tons and scoring 1202 runs in just 14 innings at a mind boggling average of 133.55.
Kohli endured a century drought between 2019 and 2021 but made a remarkable return to form in 2023, notching up five centuries during the year.
