The mother of West Indian batsman Joshua Da Silva greeting Virat Kohli and hugging the former India captain in a warm gesture went viral over the weekend, and in an interview posted on the BCCI Twitter account, Joshua said that her mother had told her that she will come to “see Virat and not me”.

“My mom told me two days before the Test match that she will come to see Virat Kohli, not me. That was kind of funny….It just so happened that he was on the bus…so I went and knocked on the window. He came out and met my mom, made her day, made her year probably” said Joshua in the video.
Kohli warmly greeted Joshua’s mother, exchanging a few words and posing for a picture, after which she hugged her favourite cricketer.

The ongoing second Test between India and West Indies is also the 500th international game for Kohli, and he made it even more special by crafting a splendid century.
It was Kohli’s 29th Test century, which brought him level with Sir Don Bradman and took his tally of international hundreds to 76.
