Woman employed at Agra hotel gang-raped, five arrested | Agra News

AGRA: Five persons have been apprehended on Monday in connection with an alleged gang rape incident at a hotel in Agra.
The victim contacted the police late on Saturday night, prompting them to take action against the accused. Archana Singh, assistant commissioner of police, Agra Sadar, said that a complaint had been lodged, and a case has been registered based on the victim’s account.
The arrested individuals, including one woman, are said to be associated with the hotel where the victim was employed. A video that has gone viral depicts the victim being assaulted by a group of men.
“Four men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the incident. The victim will undergo a medical examination, and legal measures are being taken,” added Archana Singh. The police have filed a case under sections pertaining to rape, assault, and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Ongoing investigations are currently under way.
