BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Congress on Monday evening complained to the Election Commission that postal ballots were unauthorizedly taken out of the strongroom in Balaghat, and demanded the removal of the district collector for the “tampering” of votes.
A Congress delegation submitted a video clip of the incident and asked for an investigation. Following the allegation, the Jabalpur divisional commissioner suspended tehsildar Himmat S Bhaveli on Monday.
CEO Anupam Rajan denied the allegation.”No postal ballot was tampered with. They were being segregated, assembly-wise ,” Rajan said.
