Aizawl South – III Assembly Election Result 2023: Baryl Vanneihsangi from the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) clinched victory in the Aizawl South – III assembly constituency of Mizoram, securing a win against rivals F. Lalnunmawia of the Mizo National Front, Rosiamngheta of the Indian National Congress, and Denghmingthanga.
The voting for all 40 seats in the Mizoram State Legislative Assembly was conducted on November 7, 2023, and the official results were declared on December 4.

Baryl Vanneihsangi from the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) secured victory with 9,370 votes. Additionally, the Mizo National Front’s F. Lalnunmawia, the first runner-up, garnered 7,956 votes, while Rosiamngheta of the Indian National Congress received 2,066 votes.
In the 2018 elections, Aizawl South-III witnessed the active participation of 19,920 electors in the democratic process. The Mizo National Front (MNF) candidate, F Lalnunmawia, emerged victorious with a total of 7,558 votes. The Indian National Congress candidate, K S Thanga, secured the second position with 5,470 votes, facing a defeat margin of 2,088 votes.

The estimated literacy level of the district in which this constituency falls is 97.89%, according to the Census of India, 2011.
In the 2023 Mizoram Assembly elections, there were a total of 22,514 eligible electors in the constituency, comprising 11,032 males and 11,482 females, with registered voters of the third gender.
