Audio Technica ATH-M50xSTS and ATH-M50xSTS-USB headphones: Specifications, features, and more
The two headsets specifically for live-streaming content creators. These exceptional models are revolutionising the industry by incorporating technology from the renowned 20 Series microphones and the critically acclaimed ATH-M50x professional monitor headphones. The ATH-M50xSTS and ATH-M50xSTS-USB provide full-spectrum, studio-quality sound for both users and listeners on the receiving end.
These headsets have the same 45mm large-aperture drivers as the M50x headphones, producing exceptional clarity across a wide frequency range and accurate bass response.
The earpads come in two styles: M50x earpads for improved audio quality and sound isolation and mesh and leatherette earpads for increased breathability and comfort.
What sets these streaming headsets apart is their unique microphone design. Both models feature a cardioid condenser capsule adapted from Audio-Technica’s 20 Series microphone design on a flexible boom arm, allowing optimal positioning while moving your head. The result is a high-quality vocal presence without background noise and consistent output levels. The mic can be quickly muted by flipping the boom arm up.
The ATH-M50xSTS headset is packed with useful features, such as a 2-metre cable that is permanently attached. This cable has a 3.5mm headphone jack and an XLR microphone connector, making it easy to connect to audio interfaces and mixers.
The ATH-M50xSTS-USB model offers high-quality A/D converter with up to 24-bit/96 kHz sampling rate, which ensures superb, high-resolution audio. Additionally, it has sidetone circuitry that lets users hear their own voice in the headphones, creating a more natural and conversational streaming experience. The headphones come with a 2-meter (6.6′) permanently attached cable featuring a USB-A connection and also include a USB-A to USB-C adapter for easy plug-and-play connectivity to PCs and Macs.
