Over 100 artefacts returned to India
During his address on Sunday, the Prime Minister said America has returned to more than a hundred rare and ancient artefacts to India. “I would like to thank the US government for returning the precious heritage to us. Even in 2016 and 2021, when I visited America, many artefacts were returned to India.”
PM on drug abuse in country
The Prime Minister said India has set a record by destroying over 10 lakh kg of drugs worth over Rs 12,000 crore. He also applauded the youth of the country for fighting together against drug abuse. “The increasing participation of youth in anti-drug campaign is very encouraging,” he said.
’30 crore saplings planted in UP in a day’
PM Modi, in his address, also cited “record plantation” of 30 crore saplings in a day in Uttar Pradesh, saying it is an example of public participation, awareness.
PM Modi said a campaign, ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’, is going to be organised in the country, to honour brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country. “‘Amrti Kalash Yatra’ will be taken out during this campaign. Soil and plants in 7,500 kalash from villages and various corners of the country will reach Delhi. ‘Amrit Vatika’ will be made from the soil and plants being carried in these kalash near the National War Memorial,” he said.
The show is aired on the last Sunday of each month, but the previous episode was broadcast on June 18 as the Prime Minister had a US visit scheduled later that month. The 100th episode of the show was aired on April 30.
