Police found the survivor, a student of Class 12, battered and bruised hours after her parents filed a complaint saying that a college student enticed and kidnapped her during the day.
Five teams from Malakhera police station, where the FIR was filed, scoured Alwar city till late in the night and found the girl trapped in a house. The suspects escaped the police raid but three of them were arrested on Monday morning, based on the survivor’s statement. The arrested men were identified as Sameen (19), Shahrukh (25) and Bijendra Prajapat, alias Vijay Kumar (21). The girl knew Sameen, Alwar SP Anand Sharma said.
Besides Sameen, one among the absconding five suspects is wanted for gangrape and the rest for being part of the conspiracy to kidnap the survivor and helping the main accused move her from one location to another. They have all been charged under sections of the IPC and Pocso Act.
The first of the gangrape cases lodged since Saturday involved two sisters, both of whom became pregnant after being allegedly sexually assaulted several times over 18 months by two staffers of a farmhouse where their father worked. Neither suspect had been caught till late Monday.
Another gangrape case was filed by the family of a 16-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped at knifepoint and assaulted.
