Asus has finally launched the ROG Ally, their very first handheld gaming PC in India. The Asus ROG Ally boasts AMD‘s latest Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, a 120Hz 7-inch 1080P display, and runs on Windows 11.

It will be available to purchase starting today through Flipkart, Asus Eshop and Asus Exclusive stores across the country.

The ROG Ally comes with a 7-inch IPS LCD touchscreen featuring FHD resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach a brightness of up to 500 nits and covers the entire sRGB colour space. The display has a quick 7ms response time and complete sRGB colour space coverage. Further, the display comes with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus.
The ROG Ally is crafted from aluminium and has a weight of 608 grams. Its measurements are 280 x 111 x 21.2mm.
The ROG Ally includes two analog thumb sticks with capacitive touch and RGB lighting, a D-pad, A B X Y buttons, left and right Hall Effect triggers and bumpers, and two assignable grip buttons on the back. The console also has six-axis gyro support and command centre and view buttons on the left, as well as menu and Armoury Crate buttons on the right of the screen.
The handheld gaming PC comes with the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. The Z1 Extreme version has an eight-core Zen with sixteen threads and twelve RDNA cores with 24MB cache, with a clock speed of up to 5.10 GHz boost. The processor is paired with AMD Radeon Graphics – offering a graphics performance of 8.6 Teraflops.
Under the hood, Ally has dual fans and a copper heat pipe to improve cooling. The model includes 16GB of LPDDR5 dual-channel memory and 512GB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD.
The ROG Ally boasts a 40Wh battery pack, which can last up to two hours when running on 20-25W performance mode. There are two other modes as well — silent mode which runs at 10-15W and the turbo mode, which is capped at 25-30W. The handheld console comes with a 65W PD charger.
The ROG Ally has a Type-C combo port that supports USB 3.2 Gen2, a slot for external GPUs, a microSD card slot that can handle UHS-II cards and a headphone/mic combo jack.
This console also has dual-firing stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, as well as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
