The tweet has forced Zuckerberg to respond. In a post on Threads, Zuckerberg posted “I’m ready today. I suggested Aug 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.” So the Meta CEO still thinks the fight is unlikely to take place. He did take quite a few jabs (verbal ones) at Musk. The X owner suggested that the fight will be livestreamed on his platform. Zuckerberg responded that they should “use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity.” X doesn’t have a feature that allows in-build fundraising whereas both Facebook and Instagram do.
Who will win the fight?
Musk, in a post on X, suggested the outcome of the fight. f the fight is short, I probably win. If long, he may win on endurance. I am much bigger and there is a reason MMA has weight divisions,” he said on X.
In June 2023, Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight on Twitter (that’s what it was called then). Musk tweeted, “I’m up for a cage fight with @Zuck. Location: Vegas Octagon. Rules: No holds barred.” Zuckerberg responded by posting a screenshot of Musk’s tweet with the caption “send me location.”
Interestingly, the August 26 date has come out for the first time since the whole talk of the fight began. We are 18 days away from it and till then expect a few more posts by the two billionaires on the cage fight.
