Samsung leaks details of One UI 6 Beta features ahead of official announcement

In an unexpected turn of events, Samsung‘s German division prematurely disclosed information regarding the eagerly awaited One UI 6 beta program which was initially rumoured to arrive in late July.

However, the accidental release of One UI 6 revealed key features and changes coming with the One UI 6 update.
Among all other features and changes, the One UI 6 will be based on Android 14 operating system. Also, the update is set to bring improved user experience with some visual overhaul to several UI elements. For instance, the Quick Panel is set to receive a major redesign with better access to several functions, especially frequently used ones. It looks like Samsung will add the Eye comfort shield and Dark mode alongside the brightness slider.

A new swipe gesture from the top right corner to access Quick Settings is also set to make the cut to One UI 6.
A notable feature highlighted is dynamic wallpapers that adjust based on user scenarios. As an example, when a Galaxy phone enters Sleep mode, the wallpaper will automatically shift to reflect the user’s mood or preferences. Additionally, a new Camera widget is set to simplify the process of relocating specific photos to a user’s preferred storage destination.
Beyond these revelations, One UI 6 is speculated to bring several other changes and updates based on Android 14 operating system.
One UI 6 beta to become available for Galaxy S23
The rollout has been delayed, but Samsung has already confirmed that the update will first arrive for the Galaxy S23 series in the US, South Korea and Germany. Based on the company’s history, it will expand the beta program slowly to more regions and more Galaxy devices in the coming weeks.
