Vidisha Srivastava aka Gori Mem of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! blessed with a baby girl; plans to resume the shoot a month-and-a-half later

Vidisha Srivastava aka Anita Bhabi of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! delivered a baby girl on July 11. The actress, who took a break from the shoot on July 1, shares, “It was an 18-hour-long labour and I was in excruciating pain. It has been a normal delivery. But the moment I saw my daughter, every discomfort and pain disappeared. Seeing my daughter in front of me felt like a miracle.”
The couple is in the process of finalising the name for their little one.She says, “We have thought of Aadya, which is a synonym for Goddess Durga. It also signifies power and another name for Lord Shiva.”
For now, the actress plans to spend time with her daughter before she resumes the shoot for her show, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! She says, “I will be home for one-and-a-half months. After that, I will see how things pan out. I will resume work maybe not regularly. I will go whenever I am required.”
Vidisha shot for the show till the last leg of her pregnancy and took a break just 10 days before the delivery. In a chat with us previously, while talking about it, she said, “Work is therapeutic, and I will keep shooting till I can. I get up, move around, talk to people, and shoot comic scenes. Everyone tells me the child will be a born actor (laughs!). I will take a short break for about a month after the delivery and resume work as soon as possible. The production house has been very accommodating, and the unit keeps giving me breaks during the day. I design my clothes in a way that my baby bump doesn’t show too much. I am quite excited about welcoming the baby. I am going through several changes, both physically and emotionally. I have mood swings, but I am trying to enjoy the phase as much as I can. I haven’t become a mother yet and am sure I will feel various emotions when I hold my baby in my arms. Of course, my child will be my priority, but I am accustomed to balancing my personal and professional lives and will continue to manage it. I am a superwoman.”
The actress told us that it was an unplanned pregnancy and her husband’s happiness knew no bounds when she broke the news to him.
