After Mark Zuckerberg’s dismissal, X owner Elon Musk posts on cage fight again

Mark Zuckerberg last week said that Elon Musk is not serious about the cage fight, dismissing the possibility of the fight happening anytime soon. However, Musk is still posting about it and no one knows why. In a recent post, the X owner said that he will visit the Meta CEO’s house and “the fight is on.”

“For the Tesla FSD test drive in Palo Alto tonight, I will ask the car to drive to @finkd’s house,” Musk posted today on X. “If we get lucky and Zuck my 👅 actually answers the door, the fight is on!”
@finkd is Zuckerberg’s X handle.

In a follow-up post in the same thread, Musk also mocked Zuckerberg saying, “Zuck thread coming soon about how he would of course love to fight anytime, but blah blah UFC something something.”
In two previous posts, he made fun of the Meta CEO by saying, “Knock, knock … challenge accepted … open the door @finkd” and “Thought you might want some tea, so I brought the bags.”
He even called Zuckerberg “a chicken.”
What Meta has to say
Meta hits back at Musk’s ‘instigations’ saying that Zuckerberg takes this sport seriously.
“Mark is travelling right now and isn’t in Palo Alto,” a spokesperson for Zuckerberg at Meta, Iska Saric, told The Verge. “Also, Mark takes this sport seriously and isn’t going to fight someone who randomly shows up at his house,” Saric added.
Last week, Zuckerberg said in a post that Musk is not serious about the fight.
“I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead. If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously,” Zuckerberg said in a long post on Threads.
He also noted that if Musk ever agrees on an actual date, people will “hear it from me” and until then, it should be assumed that anything Musk says has not been agreed on.
