* Their third-wicket stand was also the highest partnership for India vs Pakistan in ODIs for any wicket. Navjot Sidhu and Sachin Tendulkar held the previous record of 231 that came in 1996 for the second wicket.
* Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 122 off 94 balls was his fourth hundred in ODI Asia Cup, only behind former Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya (6). Kumar Sangakkara also has four hundreds to his name.
* Virat Kohli’s love affair with R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo continued with a fourth century on the trot at the venue. His previous scores were 128*, 131 and 110*.
* This was only the third time that India’s number three and fours batters scored hundreds in an ODI. The previous two instances were Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar against Kenya in Bristol, 1999 and Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli vs Sri Lanka in Kolkata, 2009.
