Reliance Jio has discontinued one of its long term plans. The telecom provider has removed the Rs 1559 prepaid plan from its list of data plans. We at TOI also checked Jio’s website and the MyJio app and the plan is no longer listed on both platforms.
What the Rs 1559 plan offers
The Rs 1559 was a long term plan which offered the validity of 336 days. Along with this, the plan also provided unlimited calling benefit and 24GB total data. The subscribers also got 3600 free SMS with the plan.
Apart from the above mentioned benefits, the Jio subscribers also got complimentary access to the MyJio Suite apps and unlimited 5G data with the plan.
Annual plans offered by Reliance Jio
Presently, Reliance Jio is offering two long term plans of Rs 2,999 and Rs 2545.
The Rs 2,999 plan comes with the validity of 365 days and it offers 2.5GB data per day. Users can also enjoy unlimited calling benefits and 100 SMS per day as part of the plan. On the other hand, the Rs 2545 plan is valid for the period of 336 days and it provides 1.5GB data per day. The plan also offers unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day.
Both the above mentioned plans also offer free access to the Jio Suite apps and unlimited 5G data.
Jio AirFiber to launch in India today
Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio is all set to launch its AirFiber service in India today (September 19). Reliance announced Jio AirFiber at last year’s (2022) AGM. Reliance JioFiber will take on Airtel’s Fixed Wireless Access solution Airtel Xstream AirFiber launched this month.
Jio AirFiber is marketed as a potent 5G hotspot intended to compete with existing broadband options. Essentially, it functions as a hassle-free 5G broadband router brought to you by Reliance Jio. This means that users won’t have to undergo any wiring or cable setups specifically for JioFiber. To experience authentic 5G via Reliance, all subscribers will simply require the JioFiber device.
