Chandrayaan 3: Watch: Pakistan leader makes fun of ISRO’s Chandrayaan 3 mission

Seems Pakistan‘s former Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry cannot make up his mind on India’s successful moon mission, Chandrayaan 3. While the minister congratulated India and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in a tweet on the successful launch of the Chandrayaan-3, a new viral video shows Chaudhry mocking the mission.
In the video, he is seen responding to a question about Moon sightings and the space mission conducted by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). “Itne papad belne ki zaroorat nahin hai,” answers Chaudhry with a teasing grin. The response translates to “You don’t need to go to such great lengths for Moon sightings.” He appears to have made the remark during a TV debate. From Moon sightings, Chaudhry seems to be referring to those during Eid-ul-Fitr.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), on July 14, successfully launched its third edition of Moon exploration programme from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at making a soft landing on the unexplored South Pole of the Moon.
Chandrayaan-1 mission was successfully launched in October 2008 while Chandrayaan-2 was conceived as a more complex mission as it carried an orbiter, lander (Vikram) and rover (Pragyan) to explore the unexplored South Pole of the Moon. However, the mission met with an abrupt end as scientists lost communication with the lander before it could make a soft landing on the Moon’s surface.
Not the first time for Fawad
Incidentally, this is not the first time that Pakistan’s minister has made fun of India’s space mission. In 2019, when the Chandrayaan-2 failed, he made fun in a series of tweets.
“Dear Endia; instead of wasting money on insane missions as of Chandrayyan concentrate on poverty within, your approach on #Kashmir II be another Chandrayyan just price tag ll be far bigger,” Fawad wrote in a series of tweets back in 2019, which are now deleted. “Endia only way now you can reach moon is through Bollywood, another 100 crore and you guys ll be on the moon. you failed when instead of scientists you relied on Jotshi and delayed the mission, Come out of hatred for other communities,” he wrote in another tweet in 2019.
