PM Modi to flag off 9 new Vande Bharat Express trains; check routes, timetable, stoppages full details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off 9 new Vande Bharat Express trains today which will boost connectivity across eleven states namely Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gujarat. Indian Railways has said that new trains will be the fastest on routes of their operation and will help save considerable time for the passengers.
Vande Bharat Express is a semi high speed 160 kmph capable all air-conditioned chair car train. All the 9 new Vande Bharat trains are 8 coach trains. Among the launches is also the first Orange Vande Bharat Express which will run on the Kasaragod- Thiruvananthapuram route. Let’s take a look at the 9 new routes, timings and stoppages.
20665/20666 CHENNAI EGMORE – TIRUNELVELI VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS:
Train number 20666 Tirunelveli – Chennai Egmore Vande Bharat Express will depart from Tirunelveli at 6:00 AM to reach Chennai Egmore at 1:50 PM. In the return direction, Train number 20665 Chennai-Tirunelveli Vande Bharat Express will leave from Chennai at 2:50 PM to reach Tirunelveli at 10:40 PM. En route it will stop at Virudunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Villupuram and Tambaram. The train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday.
20677/20678 MGR CHENNAI-VIJAYAWADA VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS:
Train number 20677 MGR Chennai – Vijayawada Vande Bharat Express will depart from Chennai at 5:30 AM to reach Vijayawada at 12:10 PM. In the return direction, Train number 20678 Vijayawada – MGR Chennai Vande Bharat Express will leave from Vijayawada at 3:20 PM to reach MGR Chennai at 10:00 PM. En route it will stop at Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole and Tenali. The train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday.
22348/22347 PATNA-HOWRAH VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS:
Train number 22348 Patna-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will depart from Patna at 8:00 AM to reach Howrah at 2:35 PM. In the return direction, Train number 22347 Howrah-Patna Vande Bharat Express will leave from Howrah at 3:50 PM to reach Patna at 10:40 PM. En route it will stop at Patna Saheb, Mokama, Luckeesarai, Jasidih, Jamtara, Asansol and Durgapur. The train will run on all days of the week except Wednesday.

Train number 20703 Secunderabad (Kacheguda) – Bengaluru (Yesvantpur) Vande Bharat Express will depart from Secunderabad (Kacheguda) at 5:30 AM to reach Bengaluru (Yesvantpur) at 2:00 PM. In the return direction, Train number 20704 Bengaluru (Yesvantpur) – Secunderabad (Kacheguda) Vande Bharat Express will leave from Bengaluru (Yesvantpur) at 2:45 PM to reach Secunderabad (Kacheguda) at 11:15 PM. En route it will stop at Mahbubnagar, Kurnool City, Anantapur and Dharmavaram. The train will run on all days of the week except Wednesday.

In the return direction, Train number 20632 Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat Express will leave from Thiruvananthapuram at 4:05 PM to arrive in Kasaragod at 11:55 PM. En route the train will stop at Kannur, Kozhikhode, Shoranur, Tirur, Thrisur, Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Kollam.
While the Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday, the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat will run on all days except Monday.

Train number 20979 Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat Express will depart from Udaipur at 7:50 AM to reach Jaipur at 2:05 PM. In the return direction, Train number 20980 Jaipur-Udaipur Vande Bharat Express will leave from Jaipur at 3:45 PM to reach Udaipur at 10:00 PM. En route it will stop at Ranapratapnagar, Mavli, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara, Kishangarh. The train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday.
22926/22925 JAMNAGAR-AHMEDABAD (SABARMATI) VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS:
Train number 22926 Jamnagar-Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) Vande Bharat Express will depart from Jamnagar at 5:30 AM to reach Ahmedabad at 10:10 AM. In the return direction, Train number 22925 Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat Express will leave from Ahmedabad at 5:55 PM to arrive in Jamnagar at 10:35 PM. En route the train will stop at Rajkot, Wankaner, Surendranagar and Viramgam, Sabarmati.
While the Jamnagar-Ahmedabad (Sabarmati) Vande Bharat train will run on all days of the week except Wednesday, the Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat will run on all days except Tuesday.
20898/20897 RANCHI-HOWRAH VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS:
Train number 20898 Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will depart from Ranchi at 5:15 AM to reach Howrah at 12:25 PM. In the return direction, Train number 20897 Howrah-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express will leave from Howrah at 3:45 PM to reach Ranchi at 10:50 PM. En route it will stop at Muri, Kotshila, Purulia, Chandil, Tata and Kharagpur. The train will run on all days of the week except Tuesday.
The new Vande Bharat trains come with as many as 25 improvements. Some of these are; optimization of hardness of cushion, extended foot rest for seats in Executive Chair Car and seats in pleasant blue color, improved lighting in toilets, better roller blind fabric, more depth in wash basins to avoid splashing of water among other things.
With the 9 new Vande Bharat trains being launched, the total number of Vande Bharat train services on the Indian Railways network goes up to 68.
