The Indore crowd witnessed a carnage from top-ranked T20I batter Suryakumar who made a mockery of an Australian bowling with his whirlwind knock of 72 not out off just 37 balls powered with 6 fours and as many sixes.
Surya was at his best during the course of his scintillating innings as he smacked four consecutive sixes off Australian bowler Cameron Green in the 44th over to announce his arrival at the right time keeping the upcoming ODI World Cup in mind.
SKY, as he is fondly known as, also became the batter to hit fastest fifty for India against Australia in ODIs, going past Virat Kohli’s record of 27 balls in Jaipur back in 2013.

Gill, displaying his prowess, notched up 104 runs from 97 balls, while Iyer showcased his skill with 105 runs from 90 balls. Their partnership was a dazzling display of stroke-play, amassing 200 runs in just 164 balls.
The innings had started with Ruturaj Gaikwad, who unfortunately fell for just 8 runs, missing out on a potentially big score.
