Resident Evil Village is releasing on iPhones, iPads this Halloween

During the Tokyo Game Show 2023, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil Village would be available for iPhone 15 Pro phones and M1-and-up iPads starting October 30th. The game will cost $39.99 on iPhones and iPads. The Winters’ Expansion DLC pack will also be available for an extra $19.99.
Resident Evil Village was first released in 2021 on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Then, in 2022, the game was released on Mac, priced at $29.99 (or Rs 1,799).
The Resident Evil 4 remake is also heading to iPhones, iPads, and Macs, though no date is given except Capcom’s website telling that the game will be available in 2023.
Capcom’s website states that Resident Evil 4 will support Apple’s Universal Purchase. This means that purchasing the app on one Apple device will allow you to download and play it on others, although Village will not offer this feature.
These two games were announced for iOS devices during the September 12 Apple keynote, alongside Death Stranding and Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Division Resurgence. Death Stranding is due this year, while Assasin’s Creed Mirage, which is coming to consoles and PC this October, will release on Apple devices early next year.
Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 will use Apple’s Universal Purchase technology and cross-progression on iPhone and iPad. However, the RE4 port will also allow cross-progression with the Mac version.
Just a reminder, to be able to play Village, you will require an iPad Pro from 2021 or later, an iPad Air from 2022, or an iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max.
Executives from Apple had a conversation with IGN regarding the gaming abilities of the iPhone 15 Pro. The company appears to be focused on gaming, with one executive stating that the phone will be “the best game console.”
