NEW DELHI: The Indian women’s badminton team showcased their prowess as they stormed into the quarterfinals of the team championships at the Asian Games, with a convincing 3-0 victory over Mongolia on Thursday.
The clash between these two teams saw a clear disparity in skill and performance, with Indian players taking the lead right from the beginning.

The two-time Olympic medalist, P. V. Sindhu, led the charge with an exceptional performance in the first singles match, defeating Myagmartseren Ganbaatar with a remarkable score of 21-3, 21-3.
In the second singles match, Ashmita Chaliha demonstrated her dominance with a clinical performance, securing a 21-2, 21-3 victory over Kherlen Darkhanbaatar. The third singles match was no different, with Anupama Upadhyaya securing another commanding win of 21-0, 21-2 against Khulangoo Baatar.

With this convincing win, India have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Asian Games badminton team championships. However, their next challenge promises to be formidable, as they will face the strong Thai team in the quarterfinals.
