Android Auto 10: Android Auto 10 update is now rolling out, here’s what has changed

[ad_1]

Google recently rolled out the Coolwalk update for Android Auto globally with the last couple of updates. Now, it’s time to refine the user experience and to do that, the company has dropped the Android Auto version 10. The update brings minor updates, bug fixes and a sleek new change to the Google Assistant experience on your car’s infotainment system, reports 9to5Google.
Google Assistant gets sleek UI update with Android Auto 10
With the latest Android Auto 10 update, Google has added a design change for Assistant. The design change makes it feel more in line with the modern design aesthetics of the Android operating system.
Earlier Google Assistant used to have a complete end-to-end dash bar with the Assistant logo on it. Now, Assistant has sort of a floating design with a separate box background that hovers over the bottom bar with a close icon at the right side. The Assistant’s animation has also been updated with the same ‘glow’ look that we see on phones.
Recently, Google has also updated the Maps for Android Auto to offer better EV-centric features. The addition made it easier for EV users to find routes with chargers, select the type of charge that the car has and more.
Update rollout
According to the report, the update is currently rolling out in a phased manner and it is expected to arrive soon in all regions. However, there’s no official date available for when that’ll happen.
How to check and update Android Auto
To check whether you have received the new Android Auto update, head to Google Play Store, and Search Android Auto. From the listing page, tap on the About the App option and check the latest version that’s installed on your phone.
Also, if you see that there’s an Update button, then tap on it to update. If you see an older version and there’s no Update button, then you’ll have to wait as the update isn’t available for you.
