NEW DELHI: The entire country is confident that the armed forces are fully capable of tackling any crisis or challenge, defence minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday, as he began his two-day visit to the North-East to review the operational situation and interact with troops deployed along the frontier with China.
Singh is slated to celebrate Dussehra and perform Shastra Puja with soldiers in the crucial Tawang sector in Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims as ‘South Tibet’, on Tuesday.
In Tezpur, Singh said the Indian military was a true example of brotherhood as they worked and stayed together in the same barracks despite being from different states, religions.
