RAIPUR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to a school girl of tribal Kanker district in Chhattisgarh, who had gifted him a sketch during his election rally recently.
PM Modi on November 2, spotted the Class X girl Akanksha Thakur, who was standing in the pandal with a sketch of Modi in her hands up, for long.
“Dear daughter, I have seen your sketch, you have done a tremendous job.I bless you. But dear daughter, you will get tired, you are standing for so long, please sit down. I would ask the police personnel standing there to take the sketch from her if she wants to give, and bring it to me. Write your address on the back of it, I will definitely write a letter to you,” PM Modi told the girl from the stage pausing between his poll address upon seeing the girl holding his pencil sketch in her hands for long.
On Saturday morning, BJP candidate from Kanker Asharam Netam knocked the door of Akanksha Thakur’s residence and handed over the letter of Prime Minister, addressed to her.
The letter read, “Dear Akanksha, Good wishes and blessings. The sketch you had brought in Kanker’s public meeting has reached me. Thank you very much for this loving expression. India’s daughter are the bright future of this country. Receiving so much affection and belongingness from all of you is my strength towards the service of the nation. Our aim has been to build a healthy, safe and well-facilitated nation for our daughters.”
Modi expressed in the letter that he has got lots of love from the people of Chhattisgarh and they have also contributed actively in the progress and development of the nation.
“The next 25 years are going to be crucial for youth friends like you and the country. During these years, our young generation, particularly daughters like you, will fulfil their dreams and give new direction to the future of this country,” Modi said.
May you study well, make progress and may your family, society and the nation shine with your success. I wish you best for your bright future,” yours Narendra Modi, the letter ended.
Excited and thankful for the letter, Akanksha expressed her wish to have a picture clicked with PM Modi which she will get next time, saying that she will get the letter framed so that it stays with her forever.
Akanksha’s mother said that PM Modi has brought her daughter in the limelight and she’s being treated like a celebrity in Kanker as people are extending her wishes, calling and congratulating her.
