The Indian women’s rowing team also made a promising start at the Asian Games, with Kiran and Anshika Bharti, the Indian Lightweight Women’s Double Sculls pairing, securing their spot in their respective heat. They recorded a time of 7:27.57 and are set to compete in the Repechage round for a chance to advance to the final.
In the Men’s Doubles coxless event, India’s Babu Lal Yadav and Lekh Ram displayed their prowess, finishing in third place with a commendable timing of 6:42.59.
With these impressive performances, the Indian Rowing team have set a positive tone for their campaign at the Asian Games.
In addition to rowing, the Indian sailing team are gearing up for a significant presence at the Asian Games, with participation in 12 out of the 14 sailing events on the tournament’s roster for 2023 in Hangzhou. The nation’s athletes are set to compete at the highest level, representing India with determination and pride in these prestigious sporting events.
