In the women’s trap final, India’s Manisha Keer secured a sixth-place finish with a score of 16 points, narrowly missing out on a medal.
Earlier, the Indian shooting trio of Manisha Keer, Preeti Rajak, and Rajeshwari Kumari clinched a silver medal in the women’s trap event at the Asian Games. India secured the silver with a total of 337 points, while China set records galore, winning the gold with 357 points, marking a world record, Asian record, and Asian Games record in this shooting category. Kazakhstan secured the bronze with 336 points.
Additionally, the Indian shooting trio of Darius Kynan Chenai, Zoravar Singh Sandhu, and Prithviraj Tondaiman excelled in the men’s trap team event, capturing the gold medal. India achieved a total of 361 points, setting a new Asian Games record and surpassing Kuwait’s previous record from 1994.
In mixed 10m air rifle pistol team event, the Indian shooting duo of Sarabjot Singh and Divya Subbaraju secured a silver medal, just two points shy of the gold medalists, China.
