NEW DELHI: The BJP has appointed Anil Antony, who is the son of veteran Congress leader AK Antony, party’s national spokesperson with immediate effect.
Anil had quit the grand old party in January this year after controversy over his remarks on BBC documentary on Gujarat riots. Anil had opposed the stand taken by the Congress on the documentary. Subsequently in April, he joined the BJP.
Earlier this month, Anil Antony was appointed BJP national secretary.
