The Canadian dollar weakened against the greenback on Wednesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped. The loonie was trading 0% lower at C$1.3586 to the greenback, or 73.61 US cents, after trading in a range of 1.3572 to 1.3613.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields fell 6.6 basis points to 3.937%. The yield on similar US government benchmark debt fell to 4.5747%. US November crude futures fell 97 cents to $85 a barrel on Wednesday.
