Cancer Patient Falls Dies: Delhi: Cancer patient falls to death from balcony at relative’s house

NEW DELHI: A 47-year-old cancer patient died on Wednesday after reportedly falling from the balcony of a relative’s residence in Madhu Vihar, located in east Delhi, according to the police.
They reported receiving information at approximately 3:45 am that Sharda Nand Manjhi had been admitted to Max Hospital by his son, Rahul.
A senior police officer stated that he was declared dead during the course of treatment.
Upon reaching the hospital, the police conducted an inquiry and discovered that Manjhi, a cancer patient and farmer from Bihar, had come to Delhi to stay at his son-in-law’s residence.
He was undergoing cancer treatment at Max Hospital, as mentioned by the officer.
According to the police, on Tuesday, Manjhi was brought back home as doctors declared their inability to improve his condition.
At around 3 am on Wednesday, Manjhi woke up to attend to nature’s call but unfortunately fell from the balcony of the house, as per the police.
He was subsequently taken to Max Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The site was inspected, and an inquest proceeding has been conducted, but as of now, no foul play has been identified, according to the police.
