ChatGPT with DALL-E3 integration is now available in beta for paid users

ChatGPT developer OpenAI launched the generative AI chatbot’s live web browsing feature earlier this year. Later, the Microsoft-backed AI startup had to pull the plugin as it was taking information from paid content without permission. The Sam Altman-led company has recently brought the feature out of beta and has also integrated the chatbot with DALL-E 3. OpenAI is testing this improved image-making tool which works well with ChatGPT prompts with ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise subscribers.
DALL-E3 integrated ChatGPT: Availability
DALL-E 3 is now available in the beta settings of ChatGPT which can be accessed only by paid subscribers. OpenAI launched DALL-E 2 before ChatGPT and it had a separate website. However, the latest version of the image generation tool is now available within ChatGPT. This feature will prevent users from having to switch between apps.
How DALL-E3 is better
Last month, OpenAI said that DALL-E 3 is “significantly better” at understanding the user’s intent. The company also said that the latest version is even better with long and detailed prompts.
DALL-E 3 is also better at rendering images, including hands (which many AI image generator has struggled with) and will also allow users to tweak results by entering follow-up queries in natural language, the company notes.
OpenAI also claims that DALL-E 3 doesn’t attempt to mimic the styles of living artists like its predecessor. This will help the generative AI model to stay safe from potential lawsuits.
ChatGPT live web browsing: Availability and Importance
To use this feature, which is formally called Browse with Bing, users won’t need to switch a beta toggle under the chatbot’s settings. It will be available as a standard option in the dropdown under the GPT-4 model selector.
This feature is important as the popular chatbot is only trained till September 2021. This leaves ChatGPT clueless about current events.
Last month, the company took to social media platform X to explain: “Browsing is particularly useful for tasks that require up-to-date information, such as helping you with technical research, trying to choose a bike, or planning a vacation”.
