PM Narendra Modi accused Congress in Rajasthan on Monday of giving criminals a free pass, being benevolent towards terrorists, joining its allies in badmouthing Sanatan Dharma, and blatantly resorting to appeasement politics with an eye on votes.
“A person’s throat was slit and the state government acted like it was helpless,” he told a large gathering at Jaipur’s Dadiya Gram, alluding to the beheading of tailor Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur last year. “This wasn’t a regular crime – it was the outcome of Congress’ politics of appeasement.”
In pursuance of the same policy, Congress and its allies are now talking about “rooting out Sanatan Dharma”, the PM added.
