NEW DELHI: A man and his son have been formally booked by the Delhi Police for allegedly inciting their pet dog to attack their neighbor in Swaroop Nagar.
The incident, which occurred on Friday, stemmed from a dispute when the victim objected to the family’s Pitbull dog defecating in front of her residence.
According to the woman’s complaint, the dog ownersintentionally egged on and released their dog, which subsequently bit her in four different locations, including her right leg and hand.Prompted by her neighbors, she was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced on social media, depicting the dog’s assault on the woman while bystanders attempted to rescue her.
A senior police official informed PTI, “A woman filed a complaint on Friday, stating that she was attacked by a Pitbull dog after its owner provoked and released the pet. The incident unfolded after the woman requested the owner to prevent the pet from defecating in front of her house in Swaroop Nagar area.”
