Kohli achieved this remarkable feat during India’s crucial match against Australia in the ICC ODI World Cup in Chennai.
Kohli’s extraordinary achievement came in his 67th match in white-ball ICC tournaments, as he, with 2785 runs, surpassed Tendulkar’s impressive record of 2,719 runs in 61 matches.Kohli achieved this milestone with a remarkable batting average of 65.23, complemented by two centuries and 25 half-centuries. Tendulkar, a cricket legend, accumulated over 2,000 runs in white-ball ICC tournaments with an average of 52.28, including seven centuries and 16 fifties.

Notably, Kohli also eclipsed Kumar Sangakkara’s record for the most half-centuries (113) by a non-opener in international cricket. This exceptional achievement underscored Kohli’s consistency and ability to perform under pressure.
