Jammu Gmch: Man moving suspiciously near LoC shot, shifted to Jammu GMCH | India News

JAMMU: A man spotted moving suspiciously very close to the Line of Control (LoC) was fired upon by the Army in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Sunday. The suspect was later rescued and shifted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, with bullet injuries.
The injured was identified as Yasir Hussain, a resident of Karmara in Poonch, said official sources.
“The Army observed some suspicious movement near a restricted area in Karmara in Poonch’s Gulpur sector and challenged the suspect, who got injured in the subsequent firing. The troops later carried out searches in the area and rescued him in an injured condition. He was shifted to Poonch District Hospital from where he was referred to GMC Rajouri. He was later shifted to Jammu GMCH for specialised treatment,” said an official source.
Sources at Jammu GMCH said the injured was shifted to the operation theatre. Police said an investigation was underway.
