MUMBAI: In an encouraging piece of news for Team India, ‘keeper-bat KL Rahul, who was suffering from a minor groin injury, on Monday cleared his fitness test and will join the side for the rest of the Asia Cup campaign.
“Rahul cleared his fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (in Bangalore) today. He’ll join the team on Tuesday,” a source in the BCCI confirmed to TOI.
This will also be a big relief to India’s selectors, who will pick the Indian team for the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, on Tuesday. With BCCI secretary Jay Shah and chief selector Ajit Agarkar in Sri Lanka, the team will be picked via videoconferencing.
