Krafton, the company behind Defense Derby, has unveiled the December update for the game. The real-time PvP tower defense game, developed by RisingWings, is introducing a new unit called Moon Night in this latest update.
Moon Night: Details
Moon Night, a formidable physical-type unit from the spirit faction, boasts unique short-range serial attacks. It has ‘Shadow Attack’ ability that enhances its power with each successive strike, albeit resetting after every wave.
This unit proves to be a strategic powerhouse when combined with other units that can block movement and extend wave duration. Players can acquire Moon Night through various in-game methods, such as the Shop of Blessings, Lucky Draw, Featured Summon, and the Step Up Pack. To celebrate Moon Night’s debut, a special event, the Derby Brawl – Moon Night Mirror Match, is now live until December 14.
100-day milestone celebration
In celebration of Defense Derby’s 100-day milestone, the game has introduced three new heroes, including Finesse, a physical-type hero capable of executing chain attacks for increased damage. Players can now enjoy her signature move, Spring Breeze, temporarily boosting her attack speed. Additionally, a new human hero named Lana is set to join the hero roster in January.
On December 15, the game will welcome the Fiery Imp, a new magic-type spirit faction unit. Specialised in reducing monsters’ damage to the castle, the Derby Brawl – Fiery Imp Mirror Match event runs from December 15 to December 28.
The December update also brings a new skin system and seasonal events. From December 14, players can customise hero and unit appearances with owned skins. The Christmas event, lasting from December 14 to December 31, offers various activities and rewards, including the coveted Christmas Castle Skin.
Notably, Defense Derby’s November 2nd update introduced a new PvE feature called Hero’s Journey, allowing players to engage in 1:1 battles with heroes at each stage. Victories in these battles reward players with Gold of Glory, which can be exchanged for units in the Shop of Glory.
