NEW DELHI: Billionaire Gautam Adani‘s flagship firm on Thursday reported the halving of its second quarter net profit as losses in the mining business widened and operating expenses rose. Adani Enterprises‘s July-September quarter consolidated net profit of Rs 222.8 crore was down 50.5% from Rs 460.9 crore in the year-ago period, according to a stock exchange filing by the company.
Losses on commercial mining widened to about Rs 340 crore from Rs 132.2 crore a year ago.
