No Gyanvapi mass campaign, we’ll win in court, says VHP | India News

NEW DELHI: The VHP on Friday declared that it has no plan to start a public awareness campaign or a mass movement in support of Hindu group’s claim over the site of the Gyanvapi mosque.

VHP president Alok Kumar said that the case is pending in the court and they have a good case but said claims circulating on the social media that VHP would initiate a movement on Kashi is misleading. “We will succeed through a court verdict”, he said.
“Vishwa Hindu Parishad has seen on social media that VHP and other organisations will now organise a public awareness campaign across the country with a model of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple across the country and awaken Hindus about this matter and VHP will run this campaign on the lines of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement,” Kumar said and added, “The case of Kashi Vishwanath is pending before the court. We have a just and good case. We have full confidence that we will get success in this matter through the Court verdict.”

Speaking at an event in Nagpur last year, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had said that there no need to rake up more controversies over places of worship. He stressed that even the Gyanvapi mosque issue can be resolved amicably by Hindus and Muslims.
“There is no need to look for a shivling in every mosque,” the RSS chief has said.
Bhagwat said the RSS had taken part in the Ayodhya temple campaign “for certain very important reasons”.
