OxygenOS 14: OnePlus phones may soon get iPhone-like Dynamic Island but with a twist

[ad_1]

Apple introduced the Dynamic Island with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Then, it made it a standard feature with the iPhone 15 series. Since the introduction, several Android phone makers have replicated the feature including Xiaomi and Realme and it looks like OnePlus is getting ready to jump on the wagon with its own version of Dynamic Island called Fluid Cloud in the OxygenOS 14 update.
Shishir, an X user, dropped the OnePlus Dynamic Island clone via the screen recorder app on a OnePlus device running the OxygenOS 14 beta.
The screen recording posted by the X user shows that the OnePlus phones are set to get a new info chip at the top of the phone screen and can be used for several added functionalities with timer counting.
OnePlus phones to get Fluid Cloud with next update
According to the video posted, users can tap and hold the notification for more than one second to expand the card with more options. This includes the ability to pause the screen recording, turn off the audio and more controls.
In addition to this, the Fluid Cloud feature is also expected to work with other compatible apps and services. There will be an option to send notifications with live status such as food delivery, cap pick-up information and other details.
OnePlus OxygenOS 14 beta available now
OnePlus has started testing the OxygenOS 14 beta and has made it available only for a couple of smartphones. However, the update brings several new features and changes including the Android 14 and the latest security patch.
